Ramban, November 08: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today urged the people to take part in Information Education and Communication (IEC) campaign starting from November 10, 2021 across the district on recently launched ‘Aaapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani’ a Land Record Information System.
As per the order issued today by the DC, Additional District Development Commissioner has been designated as Nodal Officer for the IEC campaign. All SDMs, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars of the district were also directed to launch similar campaigns in their respective jurisdictions in coordination with Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department. The PRIs will be involved in educating the people about the benefits of ‘Aaapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani’ system .
The DC said that this programme aims to modernize management of land records, bring transparency in the land records maintenance system, to reduce scope of land/property disputes, and facilitate conclusive titles to immovable properties in the country besides providing people easy access to authentic land records.
Public users can search and view copies of Scanned data online on CIS Portal- http://landrecords.jk.gov.in/.
The initiative will facilitate easy online access to the Land Records System, thereby reducing manipulation of the Land Records and improving the efficiency of Revenue offices substantially, he added.
