Budgam, November 05: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today stressed for raising massive awareness on Land Record Information System (LRIS) during a meeting convened here to take stock of this recently launched initiative.
This initiative under the theme ‘Aapki Zameen, Aapki Nigraani’ will provide an opportunity for a citizen to access land records available online of immovable property located in the district thus eliminating delay, cumbersome procedure and ensuring transparency and accountability at the same time.
The meeting held on imparting awareness on Land records was attended by around 200 Village level entrepreneurs of CSCs across the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC instructed CSCs and Revenue officials to set up special counters at Tehsil, Block and Niabat offices to provide awareness and online access to the citizens regarding Land records information (Aapki Zameen, Aapki Nigraani) which is now available in public domain.
It is pertinent to mention here that citizens can have online access to land records at URL http://landrecords.jk.gov.in
The DC further directed all concerned stakeholders including CSC operators, Revenue officials, PRI workers, civil society to hold a massive awareness campaign throughout the month on mission mode across districts about the availability of online access service to land records for citizens.
All CSC operators shall install rate list and banners at their centers regarding the services they offer for the general public, the DC directed.
Besides, the meeting was also attended by ACR, CMO, Revenue officials and other concerned officers and officials.
