Ramban, November 05: Deputy Commandant, Bhagwan Yadav, today gave away the operational casualty certificate to Hafiza Begum Wife of Lt Mohammed Iqbal resident of Perihender, Neel here on behalf of the Director General of Police, BSF.

Superintendent of Police, Ramban, PD Nitya was also present.

Mohammed Iqbal was serving as a constable in 11 Battalion BSF when he was martyred in Bandipore in 2000 during counter insurgency operations. He was survived by his wife and five children.

The Dy. Commandant of STC BSF, Udhampur also requested the SSP Ramban to facilitate the BSF martyr families residing in district Ramban with any administrative help as and when required.

The family of Late Mohammed Iqbal welcomed the move of granting the operational casualty certificate by BSF as it would help them to avail various facilities from centre/state governments being the kin of the martyr. While interacting with the officers they were informed about details of facilities available in employment and business sectors, etc, which can be availed from operational casualty certificate.
