Ramban, October 29: District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, today appointed Assistant Labour Commissioner as the Nodal officers to facilitate maximum registration of construction and other workers on e-Shram portal to enable them to avail different benefits of Government Schemes.
Assistant Labour Commissioner has been designated as Nodal Officer to ensure weekly improvements in the number of registration on e-Shram portal and facilitation of beneficiaries. The interested persons can contact the Nodal Officer on Mobile No.9419125420.
The DC urged workers in the unorganized sector to get themselves registered on the e-Shram portal to get access to the benefits of various social security and employment-based schemes launched by the Government.
He said the e-Shram portal aims to create a national database of unorganized sector workers who work in diverse occupation sectors like construction, street vending, domestic work, agriculture and horticulture, health, social welfare and transport sectors.
The DDC said that directions have been issued to District Officers of Rural Development, Municipalities, ICDS, Agriculture, Horticulture and Health Departments to guide and advise Anganwari and MGNREGA workers, farmers and fruit growers and Asha workers to register on e-Shram portal either through Common Service Centre or self-registration link so that they are able to avail the incentives of various schemes of the Government.
