Srinagar, October 27: On the eve of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’, the Roads and Buildings department Kashmir today observed an integrity pledge taking ceremony, here.
On the occasion, the Chief Engineer (C.E) R&B, Rafiq Ahmad Rafiq administered the integrity pledge to all the officers and officials of the department.
Speaking at the event, the C.E said corruption has been one of the major obstacles to economic, political and social progress of the country. He said that all stakeholders such as the government, citizens and private sector need to work together to eradicate corruption.
He said that every citizen should be vigilant and commit to the highest standards of honesty and integrity at all times and support the fight against corruption.
All the participants pledged to work together to eradicate corruption and oppose all forms of corruption and foster a culture of honesty and integrity. They also pledged to act in public interest and protect rights and interests of stakeholders and the society at large.
