Jammu. The Birth anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji founder of Jammu and Kashmir Ladakh state was observed here today under leadership of Anil Singh Rakwal President of Maharaja Gulab Singh Brigade (MGSB).
Participants on the occasion paid floral tributes to the brave and fore sighted General and King Gulab Singh for consolidation of the geographically vast state and restore peace and Development in the area.
Speaking on the occasion Anil Rakwal said that it was Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji, who laid foundation of Royal Dogra Dynasty who ruled J&K Ladhak including Ashkardu Baluchistan for over 200 years.
He said Gulab Singh Ji gave new direction to the governance by opening educational institutions in remote far off places.
He remained vigilant to stop foreign powers like then British government officials to establish any link to boundaries of the state in Ladakh and other northern regions.
Anil Rakwal urged upon the Government of India to retrieve the illegally occupied areas of erstwhile J&K Ladakh state by Pakistan and through it, Chinese Army. He said that the Indian governments from time to time have been silent spectators to continuous process of China proceeding nearer to our international borders.
