ANANTNAG, OCTOBER 13: The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla, accompanied by other senior officials of district administration, visited Zeba Aapa Institute for Inclusive Education, Bijbehara.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with various specially abled students at the institute and applauded the management of the institute for the services in the society.
The Deputy Commissioner laid emphasis on the need to impart quality education to the students with special focus on developing their vocational skills so that they can lead independent lives and contribute to the society. He praised the patron of the institute Javed Ahmad Tak for the initiative and underlined the need for more such institutions to cater to the educational needs of specially abled children.
He directed DSWO, Anantnag to facilitate periodic health check-ups for the students enrolled at the institution. He further assured the management of the institute of all possible assistance in the working of the institution.
Zeba Aapa Institute for Inclusive Education caters to the education needs of specially abled children, was the first of its kind school in Anantnag and has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of specially abled children.
While at the Institute, the Deputy Commissioner also flagged off a group of specially abled persons belonging to various parts of the country for their journey to Kargil.
