Leh, Aug 20: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, eight new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday, six in Leh and two in Kargil. While a total of 1692 sample reports in UT Ladakh – Leh: 878 and Kargil: 814 were found negative.
No death from Covid-19 was reported in UT Ladakh yesterday.
The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged six patients yesterday and all were discharged from Leh. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 81; 72 in Leh and nine in Kargil district.
The bulletin further informs that 1091 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 94 and 368 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltse and Upshi check posts.
