UT Administration Ladakh issues notification for designation of officers as Collectors Land Acquisition under Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013

KARGIL JULY 03, 2021: In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (g) of Section 3 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh vide a notification issued on July 1, 2021 has designated officers as the Collectors Land Acquisition to perform the functions of Collector under the said act and rules framed thereunder in their respective jurisdictions in the UT.

As per the notification, the Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Leh and Kargil have been designated as the Collectors Land Acquisition for Leh and Kargil districts respectively.

Moreover, in case of the other tehsils of Kargil District, the Sub Divisional Magistrate Sankoo has been designated as the Collector Land Acquisition for Sankoo Tehsil, while the Sub Divisional Magistrate Zanskar, Drass and Shakar Chiktan have been designated as Collectors Land Acquisition for Zanskar, Drass and Chiktan and Shargole tehsils respectively.

Similarly, as regards to the tehsils of Leh District, Sub Divisional Magistrate Nubra has been designated as the Collector Land Acquisition for Diskit and Sumoor tehils,  while the Sub Divisional Magistrate Nyoma, Kharu, Khaltsi, Likir and Durbuk have been designated as Collectors Land Acquisition in case of Nyoma, Kharu, Khaltsi, Likir and Durbuk tehsils respectively.
