Leh, June 14: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Leh Shrikant Suse, today reviewed the status of shifting and realignment of electric and communication poles in Leh town to loosen traffic congestion in the Leh market area.
DC Leh, Shrikant Suse, inquired progress of shifting and realignment of electric and communication poles hindering the traffic movements from the concerned departments. DSP Traffic Leh shared the report submitted by the Joint Committee formed in this regard and informed that several works of realignment and shifting are pending in and around Leh town.
DC Leh directed the Joint Committee members to make an on-ground assessment and submit a detailed report at the earliest, especially emphasising the priority areas.
The Joint Committee comprises Municipal Committee, Leh; Power Development Department (PDD) Leh; Traffic Police, Leh and Telecommunication Service providers such as BSNL; Airtel and Jio.
