Leh, May 03: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh last night, a total of 140 new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. Out of the total positive reports, 113 reports were received by CMO Leh and 27 positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil.

With the death of one patient from Covid-19 reported by CMO Leh yesterday, the total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has reached 145; 101 in Leh and 44 in Kargil.

The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged 193 patients yesterday. Out of which 178 patients were discharged by CMO Leh and 15 patients were discharged by CMO Kargil. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has come down to 1346; 1205 in Leh district and 141 in Kargil district.

The bulletin further informs that 689 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 19 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post on Saturday and 10 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks were screened at Upshi check post on Saturday.
