Leh, 20 Feb 21: Keeping in view the current influx of outsiders including migrant labours in Leh, the Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson had a meeting today with CMO Leh, Dr Motup Dorje at the Council Secretariat, Leh to review the preparedness of COVID-19 surveillance in the district.
CEC Gyalson directed CMO Leh to ensure proper screening and COVID-19 testing of all the passengers on their arrival at the KBR Airport Leh. He also directed CMO Leh to assign medical teams at all the entry points of the district for the same purpose once the national highways are open for road transportation.
CEC Gyalson had a telephonic conversation with Commissioner Secretary Health, UT Ladakh, Rigzin Samphel today and also had a meeting with DC/CEO LAHDC, Leh, Shrikant Suse at the Council Secretariat yesterday regarding the same concern.
