KARGIL, FEBRUARY 20, 2021: Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil accorded a warm send off to the outgoing DC/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary during a farewell function held at Tourist Facilitation Center (TFC), Kargil here on Friday evening.
The LAHDC, Kargil also extended warm welcome to the new Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhdeve for his posting in the district.
Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan, Executive Councillor for Social Welfare Aga Syed Hassan Armaan Mosavi, Executive Councillor for Tourism Er Phunsog Tashi, Executive Councillor for Health Muhammad Ali Chandan, outgoing Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, new Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhdeve, Commander 121 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Vivek Bakshi, ADC Kargil Tsering Motup, ASP Kargil Iftikhar Talib Choudhary, Councillors of LAHDC, Kargil, representatives of religious and political organizations besides district officers were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan on behalf of the LAHDC, Kargil hailed the notable contributions and untiring efforts of the outgoing DC towards the effective implementation of developmental activities and welfare schemes in the district. He also termed the outgoing DC an able administrator and team leader with a kind and considerate approach towards the public especially the poor and down trodden sections of the society and his positive and energetic approach towards providing good governance in the district and also counted his other achievements.
The CEC also lauded the proactive role of the outgoing DC for smooth conduct of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and BDC elections, repair and reconstruction of various Government establishments in the district and other uncountable achievements.
Other speakers including the President Anjuman e Jamiatul Ulema Isna Ashariya (AJUIAK) Sheikh Nazir ul Mehdi Muhammadi, Vice Chairman Religious Affairs, Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT), Kargil Sheikh Bashir Ahmad Shakir, representative of Anjuman e Sahab Zaman, Kargil besides the representatives of political parties and other speakers made special mention of the outgoing DC for his tireless efforts in the proficient management of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the district, evacuation of pilgrims and students from West Asia and different states of the country during the challenging situation thrown up by COVID-19, conduct of free and fair conduct of interviews and declaration of results of candidates for various posts.
The speakers also commended the leadership skills of the outgoing DC to have taken decisive decisions in toughest situations and also recalled instances of his humane and considerate approach for the deprived and down-trodden sections of society which has left a deep impact on the residents of the district.
In his address, the outgoing DC expressed his thankfulness to the CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Executive Councillors, Councillors and the officers of Police and Civil Administration for their proactive support and dedicated efforts in the smooth and successful execution of all assignments especially for successful free and fair of Parliamentary and DDC Elections, and handling the testing and challenging time of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also expressed his thankfulness to all other stakeholders for their sustained support and cooperation for smooth implementation of developmental activities and welfare schemes and COVID-19 mitigation measures in the district.
Meanwhile, the new Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhdeve also spoke on the occasion said that he will make all out efforts to carry forward the developmental works and welfare schemes initiated by his predecessors and sought support of the LAHDC, Kargil, all officers and other stakeholders for effective execution of developmental activities for the welfare of the public.
A letter of appreciation from the LAHDC, Kargil was presented to the outgoing DC on the occasion.
The CEC, ECs and Councillors also felicitated the outgoing and new DC with traditional khataks.
