KARGIL, JANUARY 30, 2021: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary hosted a cultural evening and dinner party for the participants of the 1st Ladakh- Arunachal Friendship Car Rally at District Police Lines here on Thursday evening.

SP Kargil Anayat Ali Choudhary, ADC Kargil Tsering Motup, ASP Kargil Iftikhar Talib Choudhary, Director Sports, Government of Arunachal Pradesh Tadar Appa, car rally participants from Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh, district officers, civil society members and folk artists were present on the occasion.

The participants of the rally reached Kargil on Thursday evening from Leh with the major chunk of the participants from Arunachal Pradesh.

Colorful cultural performances full of energy were presented by the artists of Shina Dardi, Balti and Purgi tribes accompanied by the symphony of ghazals and dance forms  which the guests appreciated and enjoyed.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Kargil Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary while extending warm welcome to the guests from Arunachal Pradesh appreciated the performances of all the artists and said that he had never witnessed such a high energy packed performances by the artists in his tenure earlier.

The DC further added that the unity, communal harmony and cultural symphony that he has witnessed in Kargil is unmatchable and urged the participants from Arunachal Pradesh to carry the their experiences about the rich culture and heritage to the rest of India and their state as well so that the people in India and the world at large can understand and appreciate the rich multiethnic cultural ethos and folk traditions.

Meanwhile, as a mark of appreciation and love, the DC Kargil announced a sum of one lakh fifty thousand rupees for the participating artists for their scintillating performances and suggested them to carry forward this cultural legacy in coming time as well.

Meanwhile, Director Sports Government of  Arunachal Pradesh Taddar Appa while speaking on the occasion said that he has never witnessed such a warm reception embedded with great cultural experience in his earlier tours.

The Director while extending his heartfelt gratitude to the DC Kargil for hosting the cultural evening and dinner in the honor of the guests from his state, added that he will tell the tale of this warm experience to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and other friends in the country as well.
