Directorate of Education Jammu considering opening of schools after heavy attendance in coaching classes

Jammu | 19-Jan: Schools that were closed due to the Corona epidemic are now considering opening by the Department of Education. The Directorate of Education, Jammu has sought suggestions from the Chief Education Officers of all the districts in this regard and has issued instructions to submit the report within a week after taking the opinion of the children, their parents and the school committees.

The education department has taken this view in view of the number of children in the off-line coaching classes running in the winter zone of Jammu division and classes from ninth to twelfth in all districts of Jammu division. In view of the tremendous number of children reaching these classes, the Education Department has now decided to formulate a strategy to fully open the schools.

Director, Department of Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta said that no date has been set for the opening of the school. Right now all the Chief Education Officers have been instructed to survey their own areas and seek the advice of the people from there. It is being considered that Children can be called voluntarily to the schools.
