Traffic movement halted on Sgr-Jmu highway after retaining wall of bridge collapses in Ramban

Ramban, Jan 10 : Traffic movement on Srinagar-Jammu national highway was again disrupted after a retaining wall of a bridge collapsed near Kela Morh area of Ramban district on Sunday evening.

Officials told the news agency— that the retaining wall of a mini-bridge near Kela Morh collapsed today at around 06:30 PM.

He said that the collapsing of the wall led to the caving in of some portion if the road and it has now become unsafe for the movement of vehicles.

“Vehicular traffic on highway has been stopped and field machinery have been asked  for restoration which may take a day or two.” the officials said.

They added that senior officers also visited the spot and reviewed the situation—(KNO)
