Covid: Ladakh reports 71 new cases, one death

Leh, Nov 12: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh on Wednesday, a total of 71 persons tested positive for COVID-19. Out of the total positive reports, 63 positive sample reports were received by CMO Leh and 08 positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil. The bulletin further details that 60 patients were discharged by UT Ladakh out of which 59 were discharged by CMO Leh and 01 patient was discharged by CMO Kargil. The total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 930; 822 in Leh district and 108 in Kargil district. With the death of one more patient from Covid-19 in Kargil district, the total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has gone up to 86 with 46 in Leh and 40 in Kargil district.

The bulletin further informed that 552 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 50 passengers including the drivers and helpers of 36 trucks, tankers, and light motor vehicles were screened at Upshi Check Post on Tuesday. And, 265 passengers including the drivers and helpers of 125 trucks, tankers, and light motor vehicles were also screened at Khaltsi Check Post on Tuesday.
