Poonch, Oct 22 : Unidentified persons on Thursday late evening hurled a suspected explosive material towards police naka in Kalai bridge area of Poonch. However, no injuries were reported.

The area where incident took place is a high security zone that connects Jammu-Poonch highway with Mandi road at Kalai bridge and many army camps are also located in the area.

Sources told that unidentified men threw a suspected explosive material towards the police squad deployed near Kalai bridge.

“Fortunately, the explosive material didn’t explode with no injury took place in the incident,” said sources.

They added that senior police as well as intelligence agencies officers have rushed to the spot and investigation into the matter is going on.

“We are ascertaining the facts of this incident and nothing much can be said at this point of time.” a senior police officer said—(KNO)
