October 17: Awantipora Police along with security forces have arrested a terrorist associate linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT in Pampore area of Awantipora.
The arrested terrorist associate has been identified as Haris Shareef Rather resident of Zaffron Colony Pampore.
A per police records he was involved in providing shelter, logistic and other support to the LeT terrorists besides assisting active terrorists in transporting arms & ammunition in Pampore, Khrew and Kakapora areas.
Incriminating material has been recovered from his possession. All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation.
Accordingly, case FIR No. 84/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pampore and investigation into the matter has been initiated.
