JAMMU, Oct 4: Accusing the Congress of deliberately trying to create divisions in the society, BJYM Spokesperson asked the opposition party not to practice cheap and small politics but come together with the J&K Government to contain the spread of Covid-19.
In a statement issued today, Chetan Wanchoo, BJP(Youth Wing) J&K Spokesperson said the Congress is trying to put obstacles in the government’s work for its own selfish interests when people are supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in combating the pandemic.
Wanchoo said that BJP leadership has been standing shoulder to shoulder with J&K UT administration and Health Department in particular amid Covid-19 pandemic. He severely criticised the Congress leadership for criticizing the visit of three former health ministers along with the Member Parliament at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, to review the health scenario.
Wanchoo questioned the Congress that how many of its leaders have so far visited any healthcare institute in Jammu to enquire about the facilities being provided to the people amid Coronavirus pandemic. “Nobody except former BJP Legislators visited and are concerned over the pandemic situation in Jammu and making gigantic efforts to ensure adequate medicare faculties being provided to the people affected from the virus or other disease amid the pandemic,” Wanchoo said.
Wanchoo asserted the motive of visiting the three former Health Ministers along with Member Parliament at GMC Jammu is that they have vast experience in handling the medical emergencies besides handling the critical situation. He said that Congress party should restrain from releasing despicable statements over COVID-19; it should instead lend its support to the administration in global pandemic to combat the spread of coronavirus.
“PM Modi government has extended all possible support to J&K UT and the party Centre leadership has sent medical team to assist the medicos to contain the spread of coronavirus,” Wanchoo said, adding “We all indebted to frontline corona warriors who is working tirelessly with in containing the spread of lethal virus so that none are left alienated. The motive of BJP is to serve the masses selflessly in general and in this hour of crisis in particular.”
The BJYM Spokesperson said that Congress leadership has been blaming BJP out of its frustration since the party itself has failed to address issues of the public.
