Leh, September 22: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur was called upon by various delegations at Raj Niwas today.
A delegation of All Ladakh Gonpa Association led by Ven. Shatup Chamba, President LGA apprised the Lt. Governor of the pending construction work of Ladakh Dharma Centre which is an approved project of Ministry of Culture, GOI with a sanctioned fund of Rs. 2.83 crores. The delegation requested the Lt. Governor to intervene in ensuring the completion and handing over of the centre on priority.
Another delegation comprising Sarpanch, Nambarder and member of Ranbirpur made a request to consider reserving some land for future growth or agriculture in Ranbirpur in favour of the villagers of Ranbirpur. They also requested for support to develop the defunct Stakna Hydel Project Canal for irrigation purposes and also for the completion of orchard project supported by NABARD.
The Lt. Governor attended to their representations and gave assurance to look into the matters.
