Khaltsi/Nyoma, Sept 19: The “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign, part of the Swachh Bharat Mission, commenced today with a series of impactful events across Panchayat Halqa Takmachik, Singaylalok Block, and Nyoma.

In Panchayat Halqa Takmachik of Khaltse Block, the campaign saw an energetic start with a Swachhata run, cyclothon, and marathon organized by the Rural Development Department in collaboration with the Education and Health Departments. The events, which also featured a human chain, aimed to promote both fitness and cleanliness. Participants, including local residents, panchayat secretaries, and school students, joined hands to highlight the importance of cleanliness and community spirit.

At Singaylalok Block, the Rural Development Department conducted a Gram Sabha where participants took the Swachhata Pledge. The ceremony was marked by active involvement from nodal officers, teaching staff, paramedical staff, and villagers, underscoring a collective commitment to cleanliness.

In Nyoma, the campaign was led by Incharge Block Development Officer Kacho Asgar Ali. The day began with a solemn Swachhata Pledge, affirming participants’ dedication to keeping their environment clean. The event saw vibrant participation from the local community, government officials, and Middle School Nyoma students. A significant part of the day’s activities included a cleanliness drive focusing on streets, streams, and public areas, with particular emphasis on waste collection and plastic disposal.

Adding to the day’s activities, Middle School Nyoma hosted its annual “Swachta School Exhibition Day.” The exhibition featured a range of creative student projects centered on cleanliness and hygiene, aimed at fostering environmental awareness and social responsibility among young learners. This event further emphasized the campaign’s goal of encouraging the younger generation to actively contribute to building a cleaner and healthier India.

The widespread participation and diverse activities reflect a strong community commitment to the goals of the Swachh Bharat Mission, reinforcing the message that cleanliness and environmental stewardship are collective responsibilities.
