The camp provided a variety of essential services including; Anemia Testing – to ensure early detection and treatment, especially among children and vulnerable sections; Aadhaar Seeding – ensuring beneficiaries’ access to welfare schemes; Height and Weight Measurement – To monitor children’s growth and health; Nutrition Awareness – Anganwadi workers showcased locally available nutritious foods, emphasizing the benefits of local produce; and Hygiene and Cleanliness Campaign promoted the importance of health, hygiene, and cleanliness in preventing diseases.
Parveen Akhtar called on Anganwadi workers, helpers, and supervisors to ensure that government schemes reach the grassroots level, urging them to act as “agents of change” by delivering these services directly to the community’s doorstep. The event also stressed the need for supplementary nutrition, particularly for vulnerable groups, ensuring they receive adequate health support.
The camp marked an essential step in raising awareness about nutrition and health in the region, with robust participation and engagement from the local community. By addressing critical issues like anemia prevention, growth monitoring, and nutrition, the initiative aims to ensure the well-being of the region’s children and families.
