Leh, Sept 19: In a vibrant display of youthful ingenuity and scientific prowess, the District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) Leh hosted a district-level Science Exhibition on September 18, 2024. This event, part of the Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani – 2024, highlighted the exceptional talent of students from government schools across the region, with participants divided into senior (classes 9-12) and junior (classes 6-8) categories.

The exhibition featured a diverse array of innovative projects tackling pressing issues such as Sustainable Agriculture, Health, Computational Thinking, and more, with students actively engaging attendees through interactive displays.

The event, graced by the Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk, and enriched by presentations from prominent scientific figures, underscored the commitment to nurturing a future generation of innovators and problem solvers.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Angchuk remarked, “It is heartening to see the students so passionately engaged in scientific inquiry. This initiative is pivotal in fostering a culture of innovation and critical thinking. I am thrilled by the overwhelming response to the exhibition.”

The event also featured insightful talks by prominent figures in the scientific community, including Geo-thermal scientist Dr. Kunzes Dolma, Prof. cum Chief Scientist Dr. Jigmet Yangchen, and Chief Education Officer Sonam Angchuk. Their encouragement and guidance inspired students to pursue their passion for science and innovation.

Principal DIET Leh, Deldan Angmo, expressed her gratitude to all those involved, including the Hon’ble Deputy Chairman LAHDC Leh, CEO Leh, educators, judges, and participants. “Together, we are nurturing the next generation of innovators who will shape a brighter future,” she stated.

The exhibition concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing outstanding projects that will advance to the state-level exhibition. The event wrapped up with a vote of thanks from HOD DIET Leh, Tsering Yangdol, who acknowledged the collective effort in making the event a success.
