Kargil, Sept 13: Govt. Degree College Zanskar today organized a day long workshop on Social Emotional and Ethical Learning (SEE Learning) in collaboration with Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Language (LAACL), School Education Department Kargil and District Institute of Education and Training Leh/Kargil as a part of Ladakh Zanskar Festival-2024.

Around 50 teachers from various schools of Zanskar attended the workshop. The workshop started with welcoming the experts with traditional khataks by the college’s principal.

Sr. Lecturer Tsering Wangdus and Thinless Wangmoo SEE learning facilitator from DIET Leh introduced and explored in depth about SEE Learning concept, principle and framework with the participants.

The participants were familiarised with various skills and techniques pertaining to the first two chapters of the SEE Learning curriculum. They were apprised of how it plays a vital role in human development and cultivating social, emotional and ethical competencies to build a positive and harmonious relationship.

The participants exhibited keen interest and were engaged throughout the session. They expressed their strong commitment and willingness towards the implementation of SEE Learning in their respective schools. The program was coordinated by Dr Jamphel Sheyan, Assistant Professor English.
