Leh, Sept 10: In the wake of a tragic drowning incident involving a UT Disaster Response Force (UTDRF) boat in the Indus River, significant support has been extended to those affected. The Hon’ble Chairman/CEC of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, along with Executive Councillor for Minority Affairs, Ghulam Mehdi, visited SNM Hospital today to offer their support to the injured patients from the rescue operation.
During their visit, Gyalson and Mehdi met with both the patients and hospital staff. They discussed the ongoing measures being implemented for the patients’ recovery, and emphasized the importance of providing comprehensive medical support. The officials expressed their concern and offered reassurance to the injured, underscoring the commitment of the local administration to their well-being.
In a separate initiative, Chairman Gyalson also addressed the victims of a recent school bus accident. He personally interacted with the individuals affected and distributed cash assistance amounting to ₹1 lakh to those who had sustained serious injuries in the accident.
These actions highlight the administration’s proactive approach in responding to crises and providing necessary support to affected individuals and families.
