Leh, Sept 10: In a significant move aimed at enhancing agricultural practices, the Hon’ble Executive Councillor for Agriculture, LAHDC Leh, Stanzin Chosphel, inaugurated an Exposure Tour for farmers from Khaltsi block today. This initiative, conducted under the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) scheme, seeks to equip local farmers with advanced knowledge and techniques by showcasing successful agricultural practices in the Kashmir valley.
The opening ceremony took place at the Leh Agriculture Department premises and was graced by the presence of Chief Agriculture Officer Thinles Dawa and other key departmental officers. The tour will guide the participating farmers through various research stations and farms in the Kashmir valley, offering them firsthand experience with innovative farming methods.
The primary objective of the tour is to broaden the farmers’ understanding of modern agricultural practices and foster the adoption of advanced farming techniques. By exposing them to effective and sustainable practices used in the Kashmir valley, the initiative aims to significantly boost productivity and promote sustainable agricultural growth in the Khaltsi block.
