Kargil, Sept 10: The 13th Battalion of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Ludhiana today conducted a comprehensive mock drill exercise at GDC Kargil.
The mock drill focused on disaster preparedness exercise including simulations of earthquake response, fire extinguishing, CPR training, and disaster rescue operations.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Suhail Ahmad, Principal GDC Kargil, besides, Assistant Commandant of the 13th Battalion NDRF, Javed Iqbal, along with senior officers from the UTDRF, other concerned officials, volunteers, faculty members, and students of GDC Kargil participated in the event.
The ADC Kargil emphasized the significance of conducting such exercises to enhance preparedness. He urged students to actively participate and adhere to the guidelines provided during the event, encouraging them to apply the lessons learned in real-life situations for their safety and knowledge.
The event featured live demonstrations of various rescue operations, along with the effective use of disaster management equipment, conducted by highly trained NDRF instructors.
The practical demonstrations aimed to equip participants with knowledge and skills necessary for effective disaster response.
