Leh, Sept 05: In a bid to inspire and educate the next generation of scientists, the STEAM Vision Foundation is set to host a special online event featuring two engaging sessions on Computational Biology. Scheduled for September 10, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, the event will be led by Trishna K Singh and Anirudh Gupta, students from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

The online event, aptly titled “Exploring the Mysteries of Life: A Dive into Computational Biology,” offers a unique opportunity for students in Grade 9 and above to delve into the fascinating world of molecular biology. The sessions, named “Beyond the Microscope” and “Biomania,” are designed to make complex scientific concepts both accessible and engaging for a younger audience.

The “Beyond the Microscope” session will introduce participants to the world of computational biology through hands-on activities, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. This session aims to make advanced scientific principles comprehensible and enjoyable, encouraging students to explore further into the realm of computational science.

Following this, the “Biomania” session will focus on the intricate details of proteins and DNA. This session promises to unravel the secrets behind the science of living systems, providing participants with a deeper appreciation of the molecular foundations of life.

The event is hosted by the STEAM Vision Foundation and supported by a coalition of organizations including iGEM and CEM Software. The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to fostering educational experiences that highlight the intersection of technology and biology.

For aspiring scientists and curious minds alike, this event presents a rare opportunity to gain insights directly from scholars at one of India’s leading research institutions. By blending educational content with interactive elements, Trishna K Singh and Anirudh Gupta aim to ignite curiosity and inspire a new generation of students to explore the wonders of molecular biology.

Interested participants are encouraged to register for the event to secure their spot in these exciting sessions. The workshops are designed to be both informative and enjoyable, making them an ideal choice for anyone keen on understanding the intricacies of life at a microscopic level.
