Kargil, Sept 04: A three-day capacity building program aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of local dairy farmers has commenced today at the Disease Investigation Office (DIO) Conference Hall, Kurbathang. This initiative, organized under the Ladakh Skill Development Mission by the District Skill Committee Kargil in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry Department Kargil, is set to empower dairy farmers with modern practices for improved dairy production and livestock management.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Gulzar Hussain, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO) Kargil, in the presence of esteemed experts from the Centre of Excellence for Agriculture under Skill Development India. The inauguration was attended by doctors and officials from the Animal Husbandry Department Kargil, who will play an active role in the training sessions over the next three days.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Gulzar Hussain expressed his gratitude to the experts from the Centre of Excellence for Agriculture for their dedication and effort in traveling a long distance to share their valuable knowledge with the local farming community. He underscored the significance of such collaborations in delivering high-quality training and insights to the region.
Dr. Gulzar also extended his thanks to the District Skill Development Committee for organizing the program and acknowledged the crucial role of these initiatives in advancing dairy farming practices.
