Leh, Sept 04: Delhi Public School, Leh announced its Star of the Month awards for the month of August 2024. This monthly recognition was done to honour students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, outstanding character, and a commitment to excellence both in and out of the classroom.
The Star of the Month award is designed to acknowledge students who go above and beyond in their academic and personal lives. Each recipient is selected based on nominations from teachers, staff, and fellow students, ensuring a well-rounded and deserving recognition.
The awardees were celebrated during a special ceremony on 02nd September 2024 during the school’s morning assembly. All the students and staff members were there to join in the celebration and congratulate the students for their achievements.
The recipients for the month of August included Arhaan Abbas (Nursery), Stanzin Dazes (LKG), Akarsh Singh (UKG-1), Seher Fatima (UKG-2), Fatima (1st-A), Stanzin Paksang (1st-B), Jigmat Donsal (2nd A), Zaiyeed Ali (2nd B), Zainul Abedin (3rd-A), Yogyata Vikas (3rd-B), Maqsuma Fatima (3rd-C), Stanzin Niyod (4th-A), Rinchen Angmo (4th-B), Areena Shaheen (4th-C), Stanzin Shakya Lodan (4th-D), Stanzin Chograb (5th-A), Jamyang Namgyal (5th-B), Deachen Dolkar (5th-C), Stanzin Ningsal (6th-A) Singay Namgail (6th-B), Stanzin Angmo (6th-C), Rishabh (7th-A), Kunzang Tsering (7th-B), Youdon (8th-A), Sanvi Yadav (8th-B), Rigzin Dolma (9th), Stanzin Nilza (10th), Donnet Dolma (11th-Science), Stanzin Desal (11th-Commerce), Jigmet Angmo (11th-Humanities), Stanzin Gelek (12th-Science), Padma Namgyal (12th-Commerce) and Sadiya Shabbir (12th-Humanities).
Principal, Ms Priyam Shukla honoured the recipients with badges which will be adorned by the students for the entire month. She remarked, “We are incredibly proud of our Star of the Month recipients. Their hard work, dedication, and positive attitude set a remarkable example for their peers. These students embody the values we strive to instill in all our students.”
DPS Leh is dedicated to fostering a supportive and enriching educational environment through innovative teaching methods, student development, and active community involvement to empower students to achieve their fullest potential, she said.
