“I am a disciplined worker of BJP”
Udhampur, Sept 03: Former MLA Ranbir Singh Pathania’s tour of Udhampur East was met with an enthusiastic reception as he visited ten locations, including Mansar, Battal, Majalta Mor, Paldai, and Dhema. The rally, marked by a grand procession of around 200 vehicles, concluded at the HD Palace in Dhema, where thousands of constituents from across the Udhampur constituency gathered to celebrate his visit.
Supporters lined the streets, showering Pathania with garlands and chanting slogans of “Pathania Saheb, aage badho, hum tumhare saath hain!” and “BJP zindabad,” demonstrating their unwavering support for his vision and leadership. The palpable energy of the crowd underscored the significant public backing Pathania enjoys in the region.
In his address, Pathania articulated his commitment to transforming Udhampur East into a model constituency. He pointed out that Udhampur East is currently the only constituency in the region lacking a municipality and stressed the urgent need for the enhancement of health, educational, and infrastructural facilities. Emphasizing the need for modern amenities, he pledged to work tirelessly to address these gaps and meet the aspirations of the local population.
“The development of Udhampur East is a top priority,” Pathania declared. “We must ensure that our constituency is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to match the needs and expectations of our people. I am committed to turning these aspirations into reality.”
Despite the strong show of support, there were undercurrents of concern regarding the party’s internal dynamics and the selection process for candidates. Speakers expressed apprehension about the potential disconnect between party decisions and the sentiments of the electorate, urging that candidate selection should reflect the will of the people.
The program saw the active participation of over forty Sarpanches from the constituency, including notable figures such as Soma Devi, Nisha Devi, Mohan Lal Sharma, and Surinder Singh, among others. Their presence highlighted the grassroots support Pathania has cultivated.
Other prominent speakers included Mandal Pradhan Gopal Singh Mankotia, Bhushan Modi, Amit Bagotra, and Harry Sharma. Collectively, they echoed Pathania’s vision for a progressive Udhampur East, emphasizing development and alignment with the values and needs of its people.
The event underscored Pathania’s strong position in the constituency and his resolve to advance Udhampur East, marking a significant moment in his ongoing political journey.
