Khaltsi, Sept 02: Following the successful completion of its inaugural batch last year, the Government Degree College Khaltse, under the leadership of Principal Prof. Stanzin Yangdol, has officially launched the second batch of the “21st Century Employability Skills” course, titled ‘Life Skills (Jeevan Kaushal) 2.0’. The course is a collaboration between the Wadhwani Foundation and the Higher Education Department of UT Ladakh.
The ‘Life Skills (Jeevan Kaushal) 2.0’ course is designed to be a comprehensive three-month program, encompassing 90 hours of intensive training aimed at enhancing key employability skills. The curriculum covers a wide range of essential competencies, including communication, teamwork, customer centricity, attitude and behavioral skills, problem-solving, workplace awareness, and interview techniques. In addition to these foundational skills, the course also delves into advanced topics such as Customer-Managed-Relationship (CMR), Digital Marketing, and Artificial Intelligence.
During the launch event, course trainers Dr. Amjad Khan and Mr. Stanzin Stamdin highlighted the importance of the program, urging students to make the most of the opportunity by engaging actively with the course material and completing the exercises diligently.
Principal Prof. Stanzin Yangdol expressed her congratulations to the new batch of students, emphasizing the significance of the course in building a strong foundation for their future careers. She encouraged the students to take the course seriously, assuring them that the well-structured program would significantly enhance their basic skills, preparing them for various competitive exams and career opportunities.
A total of 12 students have enrolled in the second batch of the ‘Life Skills (Jeevan Kaushal) 2.0’ course, marking a continued commitment to equipping the youth of Ladakh with the skills necessary to succeed in the 21st-century job market.
