Leh, Aug 30: Dr. Ashok Kumar Verma, Special Rapporteur of the National Human Rights Commission, led an important meeting today at the conference hall of the SDM Office in Nubra. The gathering brought together various departmental heads, who engaged in comprehensive discussions with Dr. Verma about the region’s pressing challenges.
The meeting centered on addressing local issues and strategizing the implementation of welfare schemes aimed at improving the lives of poor and marginalized communities in Nubra. Emphasis was placed on finding sustainable solutions to ensure the protection and promotion of human rights in the area.
