Leh Aug 30 :- Department of Agriculture Leh organized a one day Krishi Mela cum vegetable and flower exhibition at Block Headquarter Kharu. Hon’ble Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh Stanzin Chosphel presided the function as the Chief Guest and Hon’ble Councillor Sakti Constituency Rigzin Tsewang was the Gues of Honour.
The programme was attended by SDM Kharu Sonam Dorjay along with Chief Agriculture Officer Leh Thinles Dawa, Dy CEO Khalida Parveen, Associate Director HMAARI Stakna Dorjay Namgial, District Agriculture officer Leh Tashi Dolma, CDPO Kharu Nilza Angmo, BDO Kharu Manzoor Hussain and other officers and official.
During the program, farmers from different villages of Kharu Block displayed their vegetables and flowers at the exhibition. Agriculture machineries were also exhibited during the program. The Chief Guest visited all the stalls and emphasised on developing agriculture knowledge among the farmer through this kind of initiatives. Later, the chief guest distributed prizes to the best exhibitors.
