Leh, Aug 28: In a significant move to bolster the research capabilities of the University of Ladakh (UoL), the Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh has constituted a specialized study group to assess the need for advanced scientific equipment, including a UV Fluorescent Microscope.
The study group, comprising experts from various fields such as agriculture, horticulture, and scientific research, has been tasked with evaluating the necessity of the equipment, its specifications, cost, and operational requirements. Nodal Officer, Agriculture Department has been made Convenor of the Study Group.
The group’s findings are expected to play a crucial role in enhancing the university’s research infrastructure and capabilities.
According to official sources, the study group has been given a tight deadline of seven days to submit its report, indicating the administration’s urgency in addressing the university’s needs.
The group’s composition includes members from the Department of Horticulture and Agriculture, as well as other relevant departments, highlighting the collaborative approach adopted by the administration in decision-making.
