Kargil, Aug 28: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dr. Sanjat Bhardwaj has underscored the importance of robust inter-departmental coordination to prevent disruptions, particularly with the winter months approaching. Dr. Bhardwaj made this call during a crucial meeting regarding the widening of the Khangral-Sanjak Road.
Chaired by Dr. Bhardwaj, the meeting saw active participation from representatives of various departments, including Power Development Department (PDD), Public Health Engineering (PHE), Roads & Buildings (R&B), Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Health, and General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), among others.
The SDM emphasized the strategic significance of the Khangral-Sanjak Road, highlighting its potential impact on regional connectivity and development. He urged all involved departments to promptly submit their reports and maintain a high level of cooperation to ensure the project’s successful and timely completion.
Dr. Bhardwaj specifically addressed the need for vigilance from departments involved in land requisition and the assessment of trees and structures. He stressed that timely submission of these reports is crucial for avoiding delays in the project.
In addition, the SDM highlighted the necessity of ensuring uninterrupted essential services during the construction phase, which could be particularly challenging in the winter. He directed all departments to ensure the continuity of these services and to prepare adequately for potential disruptions.
