Leh, Aug 29: Delhi Public School, Leh today celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm and spirit. The series of sports events turned it into a day of athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit. This event was a resounding success, bringing together students, teachers and all other staff members in a celebration of physical fitness and sportsmanship.
The day kicked off with a vibrant special assembly featuring a synchronised Lazium and dumb-bell drill of student-athletes and a spirited rendition of the national anthem. The event was marked by an array of exciting activities, including track and field events, team sports, and fun games that engaged participants of all ages.
Students competed in sprints and races, demonstrating impressive skills and determination and were particularly thrilling, drawing cheers from the enthusiastic crowd.
Matches in soccer, basketball, and volleyball showcased the talents and teamwork of our students. The friendly yet competitive atmosphere encouraged students to give their best while fostering camaraderie and respect among peers.
A variety of fun activities, including tug-of-war and kho-kho match, provided a chance for students to enjoy themselves and display their playful side.
Principal, Ms Priyam Shukla expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating, “National Sports Day is a wonderful opportunity for our students to demonstrate their athletic abilities and learn the values of teamwork and perseverance. We are thrilled to see such active participation and sportsmanship from everyone involved.”
