Kargil, Aug 29: To enhance access to justice, the District Legal Services Authority of Kargil has announced the launch of a dedicated helpline service. The initiative aims to provide legal aid and support to individuals facing barriers in accessing legal services, particularly from marginalized and disadvantaged groups.
According to an official order released by the District Legal Services Authority, the helpline number 15100 has been established to address queries related to legal matters, offer guidance, and connect individuals with legal aid services. This move follows a communication from the Ladakh Legal Services Authority, emphasizing the need to assist particularly disadvantaged groups.
The NALSA (National Legal Services Authority) helpline is expected to significantly benefit marginalized and disadvantaged groups in the region, ensuring that legal support is more readily available to those who need it most. The Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Kargil, has requested wide publicity for this helpline through various channels to ensure its reach and effectiveness.
This initiative underscores the commitment of legal authorities to ensure justice for all, especially in remote areas like Kargil. Citizens are encouraged to make use of this service by dialing 15100 for any legal assistance they may require.
