New Delhi: Hundreds of students from Kargil, Ladakh, gathered to commemorate the 40th day of mourning for the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions in Karbala.
The Arbaeen Majlis was organized at two separate locations for girls and boy in thé national capital on August 26, 2024.
The Arbaeen procession began from New Delhi Railway Station, covering approximately 8 kilometres to Shahe Mardan, Jor Bagh, where it concluded. The students recited nohas in Balti and Urdu & chanted Slogans with great enthusiasm.
Sheik Jawad Habib and Molana Feroz Rabbani addressed the students, emphasizing the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (PBUH) and his companions in their battle for justice against evil. Hajia Banoo, the keynote speaker for the Girls session highlighted the role of Hazrat Zainab (SA) in Karbala and stressed the importance of piety and modesty in Islam.
The entire procession was well organized, by executive members and volunteers ensuring discipline and cleanliness throughout. Tabarruk was also served to the students.
