Kargil, Aug 26: In a historic move, the Government of India has announced the creation of five new districts – Nubra, Changthang, Sham, Zanskar, and Drass – paving the way for unprecedented growth, development, and empowerment in the region.
“We are wholeheartedly grateful to Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble Home Minister Amit Shah Ji for this visionary decision, which will revolutionize governance and bring prosperity to every nook and corner of Ladakh,” said Mohd Hassan Pasha, BJP State Media Secretary.
This landmark initiative will decentralize power, bring governance closer to the people, and usher in a new era of socio-economic development, inclusivity, and prosperity in these strategic regions.
“The creation of these districts is a resounding testament to the Government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and aspirations of the Ladakhi people,” added Pasha. “We celebrate this momentous occasion and look forward to a brighter, more prosperous future for our great region!”
