Jammu 25 :- Based on reliable information about sale of the dreaded Nylon thread,Chinese manja(Gattu),a police team of Border police post Sandwan  conducted raids in shops of kite sellers in Tikkri Dayal and adjoining area.

During raid, Police party seized 07 rolls of Nylon thread (Gattu) from a person who was engaged in selling Synthetic Nylon thread openly made in China  which is banned in District Jammu.

The seller has been  identified  as Susheel singh S/O late Sagar singh R/O Tikkri Rakwala Tehsil marh District Jammu.In this regard FIR under relevant section of law stand registered against above said person and further investigation is underway.

Jammu Police once again request the general public that use of Chinese threads popularly known as ‘Gattu’ in the market is banned and whoever uses and sell this, will be dealt firmly
