Leh, Aug 25: The Career Counselling Committee of Government Degree College (GDC) Nobra organized an induction program on August 24 to introduce students to the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The program aimed to familiarize students with the revised course structure, examination patterns, credit requirements, and other academic guidelines implemented under NEP 2020.

The event commenced with an introduction by Assistant Professor Stanzin Padma, Convenor of the Career Counselling Committee, who welcomed the attendees and set the tone for the session. This was followed by a formal address from Dr. Tsewang Motup, Principal of GDC Nobra, who emphasized the importance of understanding the NEP 2020 framework. Dr. Motup provided a concise overview of the key academic regulations associated with the policy, urging students to align themselves with the new academic expectations.

Assistant Professor Stanzin Itga delivered a comprehensive presentation on NEP 2020, outlining the various courses offered under the policy and explaining the distribution of credits and marks. She also discussed the grading system, attendance requirements, and eligibility criteria for advancing to subsequent semesters, ensuring that students were well-informed about the changes.

The program was marked by active participation from both staff and students, with students engaging in group discussions that made the session interactive and enriching. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Assistant Professor Stanzin Padma, who expressed gratitude to all participants and contributors for making the program a success.

The induction program was a crucial step in helping students transition smoothly into the new academic structure, equipping them with the knowledge needed to navigate the changes brought about by NEP 2020.
