Leh :- In a significant move towards addressing the pressing issues faced by the newly formed Union Territory of Ladakh, Apex Body Leh convened an important meeting today with representatives from BJP Ladakh.
The meeting was attended by key figures including Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson, BJP Ladakh State President Phuntsog Stanzin, BJP Ladakh General Secretary PT Kunzang, and former CEC LAHDC Leh/Vice President BJP Ladakh Gyal P Wangyal.
The primary focus of the discussions was to deliberate on several crucial issues affecting Ladakh, particularly the urgency of resuming dialogue between the Ministry of Home Affairs (GOI), the Apex Body, and the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA).
The meeting highlighted the need for immediate and effective solutions to challenges such as the functioning of the Public Service Commission (PSC) and the recruitment process for gazetted positions, which have been a significant concern for the region.
Both parties engaged in a comprehensive review of these matters, emphasizing the importance of minimizing unemployment and ensuring the recruitment process is streamlined. The discussions underscored the need for a collaborative approach to tackle the region’s challenges.
In response to the concerns raised, BJP Ladakh agreed to actively pursue the resumption of dialogue with the Government of India (GOI). They committed to facilitating constructive discussions between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Apex Body-KDA, aiming to address the demands of the Ladakhi people effectively.
