Kargil :- As part of the digitalization of property rights, property cards were distributed today in revenue villages of Ranthaksha and Langmi Reging in Zanskar Tehsil.
Tehsildar Zanskar, Mohd Hasan along with Halqa Patwari distributed 76 property cards to the beneficiaries of Ranthaksha village. Similarly, at revenue village Langmi Reging, Naib Tehsildar, Jan Mohd and Patwari Halqa distributed 53 property cards to the beneficiaries. With this the Tehsil Zanskar has nearly completed the distribution of property cards across 23 revenue villages except Sani.
During the event, both officers highlighted the significance of the Centrally Sponsored SVAMITVA scheme, explaining that it is a transformative initiative aimed at resolving longstanding issues of property rights in rural India.
The scheme provides rural households with legal titles to their residential land, enabling them to use their property for various purposes, including accessing credit, participating in economic activities and securing their futures. The villagers expressed gratitude to the entire Revenue Department team of Zanskar for the timely completion of the scheme.
