Kargil :- Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, UT-Ladakh, Tahir Hussain today reviewed and took stock of the distribution of LPG Cylinders in Kargil district during the meeting with the Representatives/Distributors of IOCL and HPCL Kargil.
The meeting was also attended by Assistant Director, FCS&CA Kargil, Khanzada Mohd Usman, AO & AAO to Director FCS&CA UT-Ladakh and other concerned officials.
The distributors informed the meeting about the status of distribution of LPG Cylinders, rates of LPG Cylinders and home delivery service in the district.
The Director instructed the distributors to strengthen and ease out the home delivery service in the interest of the consumers and in compliance with the government instructions.
He asked the distributors to issue monthly calendars about home delivery of LPG Cylinders in advance and directed the AD, FCS&CA, Kargil to impart widespread publicity to the calendar so that the consumers are adequately informed.
While highlighting the importance of online booking of LPG Cylinders, Tahir Hussain impressed upon the distributors to work out the possibility of introducing it through Dealer Authentication Code (DAC) in a phased manner starting from the main town Kargil.
In order to ensure consumer protection, the Director asked the distributors to strictly adhere to the government rates of LPG Cylinders.
The LPG distributors assured the Director to extend full cooperation to the department for strengthening the home delivery service and sticking to the government rates of LPG Cylinders in the district.
