Kargil, Aug 21: In a significant move aimed at fostering unity within the Muslim community of Zanskar, a crucial meeting was held today between the executive members of the Muslim Youth Association Padum Zanskar and Anjuman Moin Ul Islam.
The meeting took place at the Police Station in Zanskar and was presided over by ASP Kargil and SHO Zanskar. The discussions focused on recent issues involving the Muslim Youth Association that have been circulating on social media, causing concerns within the community.
Sultan Wani, the newly elected Youth President, emphasized the importance of unity within the Muslim community and expressed his readiness to take necessary steps to resolve any issues. He proposed the re-election of the Muslim Youth Association, which would be overseen by Anjuman Moin Ul Islam.
The executive members of the Muslim Youth Association Padum requested the ASP Kargil to assist in uniting the Muslim youth and the broader community under a single umbrella. During the meeting, it was agreed that the re-election would be conducted within one week to ensure the participation of all community members.
President of Anjuman Moin Ul Islam, Ghulam Mohiuddin, assured that he would be responsible for conducting the elections within the stipulated time. This re-election is seen as a crucial step in bringing together the Muslim community in Padum and Zanskar, fostering unity, and addressing the concerns that have arisen.
The meeting concluded with a strong commitment from all parties to work together for the betterment of the community, ensuring that the upcoming elections would benefit the entire Muslim community in Padum and Zanskar.
