Leh, Aug 20: In a momentous visit today, His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa Rinpoche arrived at the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS) in Choglamsar, Leh, at 10:45 a.m. The arrival of His Holiness was marked by an enthusiastic reception from both the staff and students of the institute, who gathered to honor the esteemed guest.
Dr. Konchok Rigzen, the Administrative Officer of CIBS, extended a warm welcome to His Holiness with traditional khadags, symbolizing respect and admiration. The atmosphere was filled with reverence and excitement as His Holiness proceeded to the Arya Nagarjuna Auditorium to deliver teachings.
During his address, HH Chamgon Tai Situpa Rinpoche emphasized the importance of diligent study in Buddhist Philosophy and urged both staff and students to cultivate compassion towards all sentient beings. He highlighted the significance of environmental stewardship, calling upon everyone to contribute towards combating global warming and preserving the planet.
