Leh 13 :- In strict compliance with the directives of the Hon’ble Principal District and Session Court/Judge Leh, the *District Drugs Disposal Committee Leh* has today effectively disposed of various narcotic and psychotropic substances seized in a total of eleven (11) different cases under the NDPS Act. These substances were confiscated by the District Police Leh during the period from 2006 to 2022.

The disposed substances included 4.989 grams of Charas, 270 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon, and 2.340 grams of other drugs such as Ganja and Phooki. The disposal process was carried out at Bombgarh Leh using the incineration method in the incinerator machine of the Municipal Committee Leh. The process adhered to all the necessary formalities as mandated under the Department of Revenue’s notification GSR 899-E dated 23rd December 2022.

The entire procedure was conducted in the presence of the members of the District Drugs Disposal Committee Leh. The territorial police officers, a police photographer, and employees of the Municipal Committee Leh, who operate the incineration machine, also witnessed the disposal process, ensuring transparency and adherence to legal protocols.

The District Drugs Disposal Committee, Leh, remains committed to upholding the law and ensuring that all narcotic substances seized are disposed of in a safe, legal, and environmentally responsible manner.
