Samba 10 :-  Police has worked out a snatching case registered at Police Station Vijaypur, arrested snatcher and recovered snatched cash from his possession.

On 08.08.2024, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Vijaypur by one Raj Kumar S/o Girdhari Lal R/o Gagore tehsil Vijaypur regarding snatching of cash of rupees 15700.00 along with purse from his wife while they were at Main Market Vijaypur.

Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 107/2024 U/S 304 BNS was registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.

During the course of investigation, a Police party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur on the basis of technical assistance alongwith timely human intelligence, detained one suspected person namely  Rohit Kumar S/o Jagar Ram R/o Harsha Dabber Tehsil Bishnah district Jammu who upon sustained questioning confessed his involvement in the instant case. Further on his disclosure, snatched cash of rupees 15700.00 along with purse has been recovered from his possession. Police has also seized one scooty in the instant case used in the commission of crime. Further during questioning, it has found that the accused had used stolen scooty in the said case.

Investigation of the case is going on.
